JEA has been the largest sponsor of Team Resistance since before our current students were even born. Year after year they provide an incredible amount of funding towards Team Resistance and it’s mission.
Many of our mentors are also (former) JEA employees. Todd Lovelace, the team’s main mentor since our founding, helped kickstart Team Resistance when the first students went asking for help from JEA. JEA has been with us from the beginning and remains our biggest sponsor after all this time.
Thank you, JEA. Your support has made hundreds of STEM careers possible, and without you Team Resistance may have never come to be.
FSCJ (Florida State College at Jacksonville) is so important to Team Resistance not because they provide funding, not because they can manufacture parts for us, but because they give us what every single FIRST team needs: a well-equipped machine shop that makes building a robot, teaching/training students, and storage possible. FSCJ graciously allows us to use their downtown campus machine shop and classroom with everything included, and without FSCJ, Team Resistance would not be able to operate.
