Does anyone in the Saturday night session live near the University and Beach intersection? Transportation is going to be difficult, so if anyone is able to carpool, that will be quite helpful. Thanks!

Upon Review of Video, we didn't do too bad at all!!

Todd LovelaceI have included the Championship Qualifying Round (CQR) numbers in case SOAP gets the qualifying rounds onto the circuitrunners website so we can see them.......

CQR 12 - We lost 68-81. No ammo fired in Auto mode. But Corey and Brian made up for the lack of autonomous by three excellent gorge-and-puke runs around the field that netted us 5, 7, and 3 three-pointers plus a single low-hole ball pushed in (on purpose I'm sure!) So we ended up scoring 46 out of the 68 points scored in the round! If you gotta lose, why not with effect??

CQR 19 - We set the high score of the qual rounds so far......99-14. Autonomous only yielded 1 3-point ball scored. Again in the Corey-and-Brian-mode we made a difference by hammering a 4-shot fusilade, snorfling madly, then machine-gunning a massive 9-ball load into the high goal. The result....42 out of the 99 points scored. WOW.

CQR 34 - We lost 52 to 41. No points scored in autonomous - our partner's auto program steered him into us and he pushed us SIDEWAYS up to and almost onto the ramp....the shooter never had a chance to see the goal. Not as effective as before, but we still scored 27 of the 41 points scored.

CQR 46 - We tied 22 to 22. The Hurricanes (1604) programmed an autonomous mode that executed a u-turn right into us at speed and drove us back while we were under power. This killed the right-side-drive Big CIM motor (autopsy revealed a shorted armature!) and disabled us for the match. Corey valiantly tried to run the machine like a duck for the entire match.....but it only drove in circles.

CQR 68 - A very frustrating round.....the FIRST arena control system quit in the moddle of Match 68 and the whole game had to be restarted....but not before the other team saw what our alliance autonomous strategy was! We ended getting only two balls in the goal and then were pushed up (and made it back down) the ramp twice. By the time we could get back to gathering balls, the round ended. Still, it was a very close game (68-64) - just one more ball would have won it for us! This ended the Friday matches for us.

CQR 80 - We were refreshed for an early start on Saturday. Our autonomous mode took careful aim (you can see it tracking in the video!!) and scored 3 balls out of 3 balls that it shot, or 9 of the 22 points scored in autonomous. After a snorfling charge across the field and back, we hammered three more balls. Another run and another charge, then BOOMYOW! a seven-shot fusillade scored seven balls! So we ended up scoring 39 of the 78 poinst scored. 78-9 was the final outcome.......

CQR 99 - We scored no points in auto, but the other two allies only scored one point! When Cory-Brian mode began, on of the other team robots had us covered like flies on sugar. While he pushed us, Cory had the tires spinning 100 mph. The other bot pushed us in an big arc....right into our sweet spot, an the POOF Shooter automatically hammered 8 out of nine balls right thru the 10-ring! After a few more major pushing/pinning contests the match ended with us winning 70-35.......

When we were picked for the Eliminations, we were all ecstatic. After a brief lunch break, we went into the Quarterfinals.

QF 2-1 - We didn't score in auto, but won autonomous anyway 37-0. We dumped our original load or 10 and got 9 in. We went for another snorfle but somehow (collision probably) got a POOF stuck in a drive chain, so back to the duck walk we went. The round ended with a final score of 109-39.....our win!

QF 2-2 - Autonomous score was 37-0 our favor. We hit 2 of three attempted. We snorfled and headed for the goal, followed closely by a guard. As we lined up and fired, the guard hit us.....we missed one, corrected, and fired a volley of 14, hitting 12! A short snorfle and two out of two....another snorfle blast across the field and four out of seven ....and the buzzer sounded. We ended up scoring 60 of the 109 to 39 score!

So we advanced to the Semi-Final Rounds. Then it got really rough......

SF 1-1 No score in auto for us.....6-0 their favor. We did a snorfle run, and headed for the goal. We were in position when Team 547 came up behind us gently, pushed us up the ram just far enough to make us rock, let us slide down, then pushed us up again, and we toppled. (I thought tipping as a strategy was not allowed). We spent the remainder of the round on the floor. Team 547 tried to to do the same trick to Miss Daisy but they hung on the plexiglass side and didn't fall. The final score was 74-52 ....mainly because of our being tipped over.

SF 1-2 I can't tell who scored what in auto mode but the score was tied 21 to 21. Our first sneak in and fire netted us three out of six. We snorfled quickly, then hit the goal again....for 7 out of nine! Another run for the goal and Team 547 hit us from behind, so we only got two in. A quick run around the field for balls but the clock ran out just as we lined up at the goal. 96-69 was the score.

So out of the Semi-Finals we went.
