READ VERY CAREFULLY AND UNDERSTAND!!!!

Hello And Howdy! I don't know about you but I'm still recovering from last weekend's exciting trip to Orlando and winning the Florida Regional! This week I've managed to get the beginnings of bronchitis, an upper respiratory infection, and conjunctivitis (pink eye). UGH. Just what I needed.......can't breathe, cant see........ and to top it all I'll be driving to North Carolina with my mom to provide care for my elderly uncle.

BUT..........while I'm gone........ I need for everyone to email me if you would like to join us for the Championship Trip to St. Louis. We need to get cranking on rooms and travel arrangement and we can't do either until we have a list of who's wanting to go and who's not interested.

So while I'm gone (Monday 19th to Sunday 25th) those that are planning to go will send your name to me, the Chief Geek, at t.lovelace@comcast.net. On Sunday night (3-25-12) I will compile the list of "Those That Are Planning to Go to St. Louis". (It would be courteous of you to also respond negatively if you can't go.) Dave and I will not be chasing anyone down to ask if they want to go.

After 9:00 PM on Sunday 25th no further names will be accepted. At that time the trip will be considered booked so we can decide how to get there and where to stay. We cannot afford (money-wise or schedule-wise) to delay our travel and room decisions. At this time we will also decide how much the team will be able to subsidize your trip. At this time I have no clue how much that will be ....but you can guarantee that it will be somewhere between 0% and 100% of the per-person cost. At this time, the only personnel with a guaranteed all-expenses paid Championship trip are the robot driving team and human player, the adult mentors necessary to get them there and back. It is my intent to do my very best to make it an affordable trip for any team students with a satisfactory attendance record (remember those sign-up sheets????

If you commit to going on the trip, you will not be able to change your mind and back out without refunding the full cost of your room cost share and travel cost share to TEAM RESISTANCE. It will be very expensive.....say, about $1,000 per student.

{Smart team members will be reading this diatribe the second after I post it - because they've known for six months it was coming and were waiting with breath held for it}. Smart team members will immediately run to the parental units and excitedly double-check to see that the parental units do not have any conflicting family plans for the Robotics Championship dates......4-25-12 to 4-28-12 PLUS TRAVEL TIME to be decided soon)...... Smart students will be making arrangements with their respective schools and teachers so that their travel paperwork and medical forms and... and ...and .....and are taken care of SOON!

There will be more diatribe and instructions for getting ready for the Championship Trip. At this time I can only see out of one eye so it's time to quit. Read the post several times as and call that pal of yours that takes pride in not reading the website. This trip stuff will be like tee shirts but on a larger scale - if you don't read the website and follow directions you lose out..
