Welcome
As the new season opens, this is your first step into Team Resistance, where you will engage with the world of robotics and real-life scenarios while thinking outside the box and solving tomorrow’s problems.
This is a fun, high-paced, persistent adapting environment as a STEM program. If you intend to be a full-time team member, do be prepared to commit to the team.
As part of that commitment, we ask each of you to be ready to ask questions, even silly ones; to research continuously on subjects you may not know; and to be prepared to support your solutions when challenges arise.
Your participation and effort will be observed and incorporation into your further progression with the team going beyond the build session to support the rest of your journey.
You are also expected to contribute to the team in every way you possibly can.

Once connected and approved with Team Resistance’s Discord server, make sure you set your display name to our server using your first and last name to help us identify you.

- When at the FSCJ shop, acquire the Team Resistance’s Discord URL in person.
- Join the Team Resistance Discord from the URL
- Once you are approved to connect to our server, set your display name on our server using your first and last name to help us identify you (Changing Screenname Guide)
- Observe around our Discord while get familiar with threads for the updates from the team, and maybe say hello!
PLEASE NOTE: You can do the FIRST account setup now or later. Be sure to have it completed before the deadline of build session starts.
Registration Process
Step 1: Create Account
- Students and a parent should create an account on in FIRST’s register page
- Important: Parents must register using the parent or guardian’s details, not the student’s.
Step 2: Apply to Team Resistance
- On the dashboard, press Apply to Team
- Select Program: Choose your program to be FIRST Robotics Competition.
- Enter Number: Type in 86 as the team number
- Press Apply to team
Step 3: Parents: Sign the Consent & Release Form
- Go to Settings on the sidebar
- Go to Acknowledgement Forms
- Click on CLICK TO SIGN FORM next to the FIRST Consent & Release Form
- Digitally sign the form
Two required forms printouts that requires your and your parents signatures after reviewing the Team Resistance Handbook carefully together to turn it over to a mentor as a requirement to join the team

Please be aware that the $155 team registration fee is non-refundable.
This registration fee cover your entry and support our initial Fall Session operation to give you the training, knowledge, and skills to be ready for the build season.
You may pay it now on the student application form, or pay later before the Fall Season starts. Be sure to check in with one of the mentors for further details
Team Resistance requires the team registration fee to be a part of the team. It is advised to pay later if you are unsure you will join the team.
